Name

Asset class name. When adding a new asset this field is required. This value must be unique for all asset classes, regardless of the asset type.

Text (80 chars max)

Asset class ID. This field is not required, but if present and the value is not blank then it must be unique for all asset classes, regardless of the asset type.

Description

A description of this asset class.

Text (255 chars max)

Status

Asset class status. Possible value are:

Value	Description
Active	The asset class is active and available for use.
Inactive	The asset class is not available for use, but can still be optionally reported on.

Type

The asset type (name or ID) for this asset class. If there are multiple asset types defined then this field is required.
